A few weeks ago I ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in a while (Pray she doesn’t read my blog!)
She was experiencing some kind of crisis and needed to vent.
As we drank lattes and I stuffed my face with Snickers cookies, She keeps talking about her lifeher problems, her work schedule, her kids, her kids’ schedule.
At some point, I was like a human being, a little out of it.
After she talked about herself for an hour straight and I pretended to listen, she finally asked “So, how’s your…cat?”
Then, As I started to answer, her eyes wandered around the coffee shopnot at all interested in what I had to say.
Do you believe?I have cat story She is bored and distracted!
As we said our goodbyes, we hugged and promised to see each other again soon. But I know that when she needs help or has some kind of problem, I won’t hear from her for at least six months.
Do you have such friends around you? I think we all have at least one.
But what I really want to know is…Are you such a tarot friend?
When you sit down to read a tarot card, do you take the time to connect with your deck and see how it feels?
Or do you immediately start asking questions about your life?
How you treat your cards will affect how they appear to you When you need their advice.
When I first started learning tarot cards, I bought Robin Wood Tarot And used it every day for two years straight. Then I got a new, shiny set of cards and threw away my beloved Robin Wood Beside I completely ignored it as it languished in my desk drawer.
When I brought it back a year later, what I read with it felt…cold and disjointed. It’s like it’s giving me the cold shoulder, remaining closed off and tight-lipped. His feelings were hurt.
So next time you pick up a tarot card, Make sure you don’t make these 3 very common mistakes…
3 signs you are a bad friend to your tarot cards:
1) only if you there is a question and need help
2) you have only tell me about yourself and never ask questions about it itself
3) You read when you are distracted (while watching TV or scrolling on your phone) and not really taking the time to sit with your card and listen to what they are trying to tell you
Don’t feel bad if you make the above mistakes. I’ve made them all a million times! But know that when you stop doing these three things and start treating your deck differently, your readings will turn into something incredibly magical!
3 ways to cultivate your relationship with tarot cards:
1) When you’re faced with a problem, don’t just reach for your card. Make sure you also do some light-hearted readings—your tarot cards like Help inspire your creativity and spirit!
Ask interesting questions such as:
♥ How can I nurture my creativity this week?
♥ How can I be more interesting this month?
♥ What part of my soul longs to express myself more?
2) Don’t just focus on yourself – interview your deck And ask some personal questions, such as:
♥ How are you feeling today?
♥ What card best expresses your personality?
♥ What qualities do you look for in a tarot card reader?
3) Treat your tarot reading time as sacred time – Eliminate distractions, adjust your mood, and take your time.
It’s okay to do a quick read at the kitchen table when the radio comes on, but try to create a sacred vessel and eliminate distractions as much as possible.
Sometimes when I watch a murder show I draw a few cards for myself Backstage, let me tell you – these reads are never very helpful. But when I put on the Enya, lit a few candles and poured a cup of tea, the readings were positive delicious!
If the cards don’t make sense right away, don’t give up. Sit for a while and let yourself explore.exist Date with your tarot cardsI’m going to show you a few different ways to get a feel for your card and get its information and guidance.
when you take some time to readyou can go deeper, and the messages you receive will be more powerful.
