What a special time, what a blessing, what a miracle, what tiny setbacks that are so manageable, it’s such a relief just to observe the absurdity of my humanity and being in this really cool store is What fun and wonderful creators and customers. Luckily, one of my weekly tasks has a clear beginning, middle, and end.
Friends – something is happening – she is leaving us. After six (six!) years of laughs, bubble wrap, and post office lines, our beloved Hele is moving on to bolder, bigger, and weirder things. Words cannot express my gratitude – Hele is one in a million, my closest friend and a silent force for good. Without her reflections, thoughts, support and testimony, the LRT would not be the peaceful, happy place it is today. Farewell forever, Best Shopkeeper Eva – you will never be replaced.
News from Hele…
Hey guy,
Wow. say what? The time has come. I no longer pack packages, stickers, get the wrong inventory, answer all your lovely emails, and lose myself in the sweet and magical world of the Little Red Tarot. no? To be honest, it hasn’t sunk in yet… It’s like I’ve had my plans thrown off course and been spinning in some weird, confusing dreamscape for months… It’s kind of real: middle age, middle age – aka tower . However, this sentence has become a reality. Time to say goodbye?
Goodbye my good friends and fans of LRT!
Six years (wtf) of cute, gorgeous, alluring tarot cards and pink wrapping paper, lots of hearts, coffee with Beth, fights over bubble wrap with Jamie the cat, fights with the labeling machine, trips to the post office, And take care of you, our incredible customers. Thank you for being there along the way. I connect with many of you every week via email or order form—these are small ways, but you still influence, inspire, humble, and refine me. Not a single lie.
Earlier today, I stood behind the packing table for the last time and felt its warmth. The next step in Beth’s experiment, and my much-needed income, began to serve as an anchor and reliable support; a place of discovery—yes, in the best sense—repetition and routine. What a special moment, what a blessing, what a miracle, what tiny setbacks that were so manageable, it was such a relief just to observe the absurdity of my humanity and be in this very cool store. What fun and wonderful creators and customers. Luckily, one of my weekly tasks has a clear beginning, middle, and end.
But now, it’s really the end…Gulu. But before I leave, I have to say a big thank you – thank you all, and thank you Beth. Beth, man, I love you (Best boss Eva!). Thank you for hiring me, thank you for being patient with me, thank you for sharing your precious creations with me, and thank you for trusting me. Thank you for teaching me what it means to invest in your intentions, invest in your people, invest in change and be changed. My (almost) moonwalk out the back door simply doesn’t do justice to the many feelings I have yet to catch up on about my time shopping with you. It’s simple, be grateful. For those of you who are reading, let me tell you, I follow Beth’s lead in everything I do in the store. everything. She really cares about you, and she really cares about the creators. She is the secret genius behind this whole project and she really wants you to have a great experience. I hope you do the same.
So, one last time…
Warm wishes,
all
P.S. Oh yes, thanks to the Tarot too! This is why we are all here… Help us figure out why we are all here. Ha ha.
