Hello friend.
September arrives with misty mornings, followed by warm, bright days and nights with a slight chill in the air. The Super Moon in Pisces brings strange and ominous dreams to everyone.
This was the age of beach trips and drag shows, the birth of new queer poetry groups, street coffee.I went back to school this week with a new notebook (and stethoscope!)
* New things *
Ancestral Healing Tarot
… Sometimes in order to better move forward, you need to step back. This deck is designed to connect you to the future you already belong to, the past that cherishes you, and the present that holds you tightly in its arms.
A beautiful new deck from artist and therapist Elia Fushi Bekene (published by the lovely Zoe at Flower Press). Through careful collage of found historical images, Ancestral Healing Tarot reimagines the tarot through the lens of generational healing and homecoming. Pre-orders are open now and we expect the deck to be available later this month!
Magical Nature Tarot Cards
Another collage deck, this one has a completely different style. Artist Marjorie Morgan uses handmade paper with vegetable and mineral dyes to create a richly textured deck in earthy, vibrant tones. Printed on eco-herbal paper, it also feels great in the hand.
Dream future world planner
Rebekah Erev and Nomy Lamm are two of the most beautiful people in the Wiccan queer community, and every year they team up to curate and create this beautiful journal of moon projects and dreams .
Rooted in Jewish tradition and designed for use by all, it provides guidance and support for integrating spiritual practices into your daily life, using tools from Jewish origins, earth seasons and cycles, radical queer communities, and your tools . own sacred body.
Show some love!
Want to support your favorite queer-owned and operated micro-tarot business? Leave a comment! Just head to the store, find your favorite deck (either a deck you recently purchased or one you’ve been using for years), and tell us what you like about it.
This really helps other tarot enthusiasts find decks they can relate to, and it makes us feel great! I also send the best comments to the creator 🙂
Bit by bit
wild choir | The awesome Corina Dross and sister Jocelyn Mosser (aka Abacus Corvus) are crowdfunding their beautiful Oracle deck Wild Chorus. Yes, we’ll have it in stock when it comes out next year!
WORT Magazine | Herbalists and plant lovers, this is for you – a new journal, created by my good friend Leo, exploring our relationship with plants (I’m a contributor!) The first issue is now crowdfunding.
Take care, friends. Enjoy the Equinox, continue to be yourself, and know that you are enough – just the way you are.
Thanks for being here <3
