On May 23, 2024, we will welcome the auspicious full moon in Sagittarius.
The Full Moon is at 2° Sagittarius, sextile Pluto (2° Aquarius), trine Neptune (29° Pisces), and opposite Venus and Jupiter in Taurus.
One noteworthy aspect of this new moon is that its ruler Jupiter is conjunct Venus.
The conjunction of Venus and Jupiter is one of the most auspicious and sought after transits. This is one of those five-star events that astrology enthusiasts look for when planning important occasions like weddings, launching important projects, or making major life decisions.
Why is Venus conjunct Jupiter so beneficial?
Venus represents our values—what we like, what we find attractive and beautiful, and what feels right.
Jupiter is our faith. Although similar to Venus, Jupiter operates on a higher meta-level. Our beliefs (Jupiter) are based on our deeply held values (Venus).
Jupiter is our inner compass. When we have the opportunity to steal and are 100 percent sure we won’t get caught, but we don’t even think about doing it, that’s Jupiter at work. Jupiter means living in alignment with our inner moral compass.
Full Moon in Sagittarius – Big Events
The Full Moon occurs in Sagittarius – the sign of vision, optimism and adventure. Sagittarius encourages us to think big. For fire signs, big goals are not about following a “carefully designed” path to success, such as becoming a lawyer or buying a big house.
Sagittarius asks: What is your vision? What would make the world a better place? How do you contribute to this vision of the future?
Sagittarius is that feeling when we look up at the night sky and we feel like we are part of something bigger than ourselves. It’s about witnessing the auroras and the awe of being alive. This is about that inspiring story that moves you.
Everything in this world begins with a Sagittarius vision.
Malala Yousafzai Growing up in Pakistan, she faced a Taliban ban on girls’ education. Despite threats and violence, she continued to speak about the importance of girls’ education.
In 2012, she was shot dead by Taliban gunmen but survived. Instead of being silent, Malala became more determined. She co-authored the memoir “I Am Malala” and co-founded the Malala Foundation, which advocates for girls’ education globally. Her vision of universal education continues to impact millions of girls around the world.
William KamkwambaYoung innovators from Malawi are powerful examples of turning Sagittarius’ vision into reality. During the famine of 2001-2002, his family could not afford to send him to school.
Despite this, William was determined to learn. He read books from the local library and taught himself how to build windmills from discarded materials.
The windmill generated electricity and pumped water for his family’s farm, changing their lives and ultimately inspiring others in the village to pursue education and innovation. His story is detailed in the book and film “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.”
A vision (Sagittarius) that is consistent with our values (Venus) and the larger social context (Jupiter) is the most powerful force in the universe.
With Venus sextile Jupiter (29° Taurus) and Neptune (29° Pisces), anything is possible. Now, we all have the potential to turn our vision into reality. But we must look for that spark of inspiration. We have to find inner consistency.
Full Moon in Sagittarius, Venus conjunct Jupiter – The Law of Attraction
Venus conjunct Jupiter embodies the Law of Attraction (Jupiter) (Venus).
The key principle of the Law of Attraction is much like the conjunction of Sagittarius, Venus and Jupiter:
- Birds of a feather flock together: similar ideas and energy attract similar results
- A change in mindset is the first step; this includes cultivating a positive focus and optimism about life and the future
- Eliminate Negative Emotions: Eliminate negative thoughts, people, and events from your life to make room for positive emotions
The law of attraction is powerful. But that’s not what I want and then wait Let it magically happen.
There is a commitment that needs to be made. “Count me in”. When Venus conjunct Jupiter, the vision is no longer “just a vision” of what could happen. It requires personal investment.
When our values (Venus) align with our beliefs (Jupiter), we must walk the talk.
It’s important for Sagittarius (and fire signs in general) that things “feel right” and are inspiring.
The element of fire is often associated with passion, but passion is not necessarily inherent to fire signs. As Bruce Springsteen said, “It’s impossible to make a fire without a spark.”
Sagittarius and fire signs need to feel spiritually aligned. The need to feel “right” about something. This coordination will fuel their motivation and enthusiasm.
During the Full Moon in Sagittarius, listen to your intuition. Listen to the part of yourself that naturally seeks expansion and growth.
Pay attention to Sagittarius’s spark of inspiration, the fire that ignites your inner drive. Like the unstable flame of Sagittarius, the spark will expand and grow into a powerful flame of purpose and passion.
