If you’ve always been fascinated by the paranormal and longed for a ghost encounter, you’re in luck if one actually appears to you!
While real ghost encounters may be unsettling to some, true psychic fans will consider them an incredible opportunity. Here are some tips for making the most of this extraordinary experience:
What to do if you encounter a ghost
Stay calm and keep an open mind
The first key is to stay calm. Your excitement is understandable, but panicking or acting crazy may disrupt the entity’s presence. Take a few deep breaths, open your mind and senses, and fully enjoy this mysterious moment.
Careful observation
Use all your senses to carefully examine every aspect of this ghostly apparition. Notice its shape, any sounds, temperatures, or sensations you perceive. The more details you can remember, the more meaningful the encounter will be. If possible, consider taking photos or videos, although the spirit may not be present in them.
Communicate carefully
As exciting as this can be, don’t start asking a million questions right away. Start by harmonizing your mental energy with your energy. Then you can carefully try to communicate. Speak slowly and say hello to show that you mean no harm. Ask who they are and what information they may have. Listen carefully to any responses.
be respectful
Remember, you may be dealing with a being that transcends this physical plane. Treat ghosts and situations with the utmost respect and humility they deserve. Avoid offensive behavior or language that could be perceived as threatening.
embrace meaning
A true ghost encounter is an experience that most paranormal enthusiasts can only dream of having. As unsettling as it may be, consider it a precious gift, a hint at the greater mysteries that exist beyond our known reality. Cherish and reflect on the profound meaning of what happened.

True ghost encounter stories
Every time I encounter a ghost it’s real and well-documented – Mary Schmidt – USA
My parents told me that when I was a baby, I looked into empty space, laughed, giggled, and pointed at nothing. When my great-grandfather passed away, my dad and mom heard the bells and talked to me or were talking to someone.
When I was a child, I used to sit on my great-grandfather’s lap and play with the string of bells he hung from the ceiling. When my parents came to my room (knowing I didn’t have anything that sounded like a ringtone at all) they asked where the noise was coming from and who I was talking to. I told them, “I was playing with my great-grandfather’s bell on his lap.” (Of course, this is more toddler talk, so the wording is less obvious, but it was my first ghost encounter).
When I was about eight years old, I started seeing my body sleeping in my bed. I would go to the living room where my family was and I would listen to what they were saying as I floated on the ceiling. It feels like I’m flying. When I woke up I would say word for word what they said and they were shocked.
Another ghost encounter occurred in the 1990s, when I woke up in the middle of the night from the cold. At my bedside is my grandfather from California (I live in Florida). He waved to me, walked over to me, put his hand on my cheek, and kissed my forehead. I walked into the living room and my dad and mom were still awake and looked at me and they said it looks like you just saw a ghost. Before I could say anything, I just shook my head, yes, and then the phone rang. It was my grandmother in California who called to tell us that my grandfather had just died.
A few years later, another ghost encounter occurred, this time it was my Uncle Joey. Again, I was touched on the cheek and kissed on the forehead. I walked into the living room and found that my parents were awake. This time they said, “Not again?” I shook my head, yes, and then the phone rang. It was my mom’s mom who called to tell us that Uncle Joey had just passed away.
Another time, I saw a real ghost and even heard it speak to me. I called my grandma on Christmas Day and told her that if she insisted on waiting for my grandfather to tell her she could leave him, he wouldn’t, but that if she needed to leave, we would be okay. My grandmother thanked me for giving her the freedom to pass on. That New Year’s Eve (same year) at 8:00 pm central time, I had a strong feeling that my grandmother had just passed away. I got home around four in the morning and the phone rang at six. I already knew it was my mom who called me to tell me that my grandmother had passed away. I answered the phone, told her everything, and asked, “Mom, did she die at your time, nine o’clock at night?” I could tell my mom was shocked because it took her a moment to answer me, Finally she said, “Yes, but how did you know?” I told her I felt it.
A few weeks later, I turned off everything in the house and went to bed. About a minute later, the radio in my living room started playing one of my and my grandmother’s favorite songs. I called my mother, crying, and told her what had just happened. My mom told me grandma just lets you know she’s watching you.
My mom got cancer in 2001. The day I sent the letter, my father called me to tell me she had passed away. I asked him to look at her computer and please tell me what he saw. He said it was a poem. He read it to himself and said it was the last book she read before she died. “You allowed your grandmother to pass away peacefully, and now your mother is also alive and well. You have some great gifts.”
